Save Daylight!
during the 1910's mant european countries starting adopting daylight savings time. america wasn't in favor of it but allowed states like New York to part take in it if they wanted to. quickly after many other states took the tradition and made it part off their calendars. this helped states like Arizona and New Mexico have shorter summers and kept it cooler. congress offically adopted Daylight savings time in 1915. it has been continued to be in effect till this day and is probably not going to be repealed at any time in history, its over all a better timing schedule.
