On April 14,1912 the unexpected happened in the middle of the ocean and many loved ones were lost. One of the largest passenger steamboats had set sail with many passengers on board. They were looking to have a good time on the known to be "unsinkable" ship, many were just looking for freedom coming to America. Four days into the voyage the ship hit an iceberg in the middle of the ocean and slowly went under. many people were frozen in the freezing waters once the ship sank, other jumped and plunged into the ocean knowing their life's were quickly coming to an end. This disaster was a scare to many people, but on the lighter side of this crazy event; it helped improve todays ships and security. part of the many peoples deaths aboard the Titanic was due to not enough lifeboats for all the people on the ship. today no ship of any type is allowed to set sail without there being enough lifeboats to carry everyone incase of emergency. major tests are done to ships before they are actually eligibile to set voyage and carry any amount of passengers.
This is a picture of the ship when it ws found off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.
